Now you can learn Authentic Pencak Silat Self Defense in the privacy of your own home! When you register for our course you will be on your way to developing great Martial Arts skills to defend yourself and your loved ones. You can now train anywhere all you need is internet connection and a computer.
How it works:
Because CIMANDE GERAK SATRIA SHAKTI is a system requiring certain character traits, we require application for membership in order to train and test. We also want to know all of our students worldwide on a personal basis as far as email will allow. No matter where you are, you can apply for membership and develop a relationship with Guru Santiago Dobles and the senior instructors, who can guide you in developing your skills and pursuing your interests in SILAT.
Requests for membership must include:
1) a letter or email to Guru Santiago Dobles including background, what the applicant hopes to gain from association with the SILAT C.G.S.S group, what s/he can offer back to other SILAT C.G.S.S members, present address, email, phone number(s), age, nationality, profession, background in martial arts, healing and meditation, and dojo affiliation, if any. If you are being reccomended, please include who recommended you - otherwise include a note explaining about how you heard about the C.G.S.S
Once Guru has accepted your application, you will also need to send:
2) two digital passport like photos.
3) annual dues, presently $50 U.S. renewable the month you joined.
Membership dues are paid by all students and instructors in the SILAT C.G.S.S group. Dues must be current to test for rank advancement. Dues are $50 per year. Members receive discounts on products and seminars. You will get a membership card with your SILAT member number.
Membership includes a membership card, access to members-only areas online, allows you to purchase products, manuals, Learning dvds, and discounts on all Seminars.

As a punishment I was force to start Shorin Ryu when I was ten years old. Sensei got tired of his brown belts complaining about me and took me under his wing to "help" me with my hard head. That was the beginning of my 30 plus years of Shorin Ryu, Ninjutsu, Hoshinjutsu, Systema, Hoshin Budo, and a smattering of others. I have traveled quite a bit while training and teaching, and have met great practitioners from all over the globe. I have been very fortunate. I had finished a teaching segment in Miami a few years ago and was followed by Guru Dobles. We had trained before but I had never had a chance to watch him go full blown into his Silat until that day. After his segment I was probably standing there with my mouth open for a full minute until the incredulous look was replaced with a huge smile. Guru Dobles, I found out quickly, is a great practitioner and even more so he is a great Guru. A Guru is someone with great wisdom who shares their knowledge so that they may guide others. What I have come to love about Guru is that he uses his art to enhance our lives and our martial capabilities. I have to recommend that you try his distance learning system. I asked him to put something together so those of us across the US could benefit from his teachings. I now almost regret asking because the training has been so intense and with so much material that I have to schedule extra time to get it done. Through out the month we receive lessons onlin and if you have questions or need to g your performance he is always available though emails, phone, skype, or in person.
